A Visit To Heritage Transport Museum

How I came to know of this place? I watched its feature on one of the programs on History Channel and since then it caught my attention. What I saw on TV was that its a well maintained facility with beautiful vintage cars and other means of transport over the history. So obviously car lovers have to visit this place and also as you will see in the pics below, there is some treat for two wheeler lovers as well. This place is 40km from Gurgaon and can be easily found on Google Maps. Do plan one full day for this place (it closes at 6PM, closed on Mondays). Entry fee is Rs. 300 with no separate charges for camera. There are 4 floors in this museum, including one basement. The museum is categorized into sections of automobile gallery, pre-mechanised transport, aviation, collectible items, rural transport etc. Besides that the whole place is flooded with the ambiance of the gone-by era with the posters and decorations on the walls. Thus it takes you back in time which makes you appreciate the beautiful pieces inside the museum even more. What an experience to cherish. There is a cafe too where they serve food and beverages. Also this place is air conditioned so don't worry about the heat.

At about 3 PM they were playing a documentary on aviation in their auditorium but it stopped after sometime because power had gone off.

Towards the end of my visit I sat down at the cafe and spotted Mr. Tarun Thakral himself who is the owner of this property. He was very humble and asked me if I liked the place or not. Also informed that this place is open for day parties, conferences, get togethers etc. and can send me a presentation (he gave me his card). It was a pleasure to meet him and his humble nature left an impression on me.
